What is Christianity Explored?
Christianity Explored is an informal and relaxed seven-week course. It's for anyone who wants to think about what Christianity says about the meaning of life. It's designed to help you explore the big issues we all think about. It's run by ordinary people, local to you, and looks at the person at the heart of the Christian faith—Jesus Christ.
You can ask any question you want and meet other people who are on a similar journey to you. We each get one life to live—Christianity Explored helps you to explore what it's all about.
What happens at Christianity Explored?
Christianity Explored is run in a variety of ways. No two groups are the same!
Many will have between six and twelve people in them, and have a mixture of ages. Others are run with lots of people. Sessions usually last around two hours and can include:
- food, drink and a time to chat and relax.
- time for you to find out for yourself what the Bible saysabout Jesus Christ and the meaning of life.
- a short DVD or talk focusing on a part of Jesus' life.
a discussion time, when you can ask questions or sit and listen to others.
You can say as much or as little as you like. And don't worry—you'll never be asked to sing, pray or read aloud. You don't need to know anything about the Bible either. And if you need to miss a week, that's ok too. And you can pull out any time you like, for any reason. For more information or to register click on this link:
Christianity Explored is an informal 7-week course for people who'd like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. Looking at Mark's gospel, it explores who Jesus is, why he came, and what it means to follow him.
Christianity Explored is primarily for anyone who wants to investigate Christianity informally with a group of other people. Whether you have previous experience of Church, Christians and the Bible, or none at all, this course is for you. Everyone is welcome - from the most sympathetic Sunday schooler to the convinced atheist.
